Common questions.

How is per-day salary calculated?

Divide the monthly salary by the number of days in that month. A ₹26,000 salary in October (31 days) is ₹838.71 a day. Stafrix pays weekly offs and holidays, so they count as paid days and only absences and unpaid leave reduce the month.

Should I divide by 26, 30 or the days in the month?

All three are used in India. Whichever you choose, apply it the same way every month and to everyone. Stafrix divides by the calendar days of the month with weekly offs paid; the calculator shows the 30-day and 26-day results next to it so you can compare.

What is loss of pay (LOP)?

Loss of pay is the part of the monthly salary not paid for days an employee was absent without paid leave. It is the per-day salary multiplied by the unpaid days, including half of each half day.

Is a half day counted as half a day’s pay?

In this calculator, yes: a half day loses half a day’s pay. In Stafrix, a short day is paid for the share of the shift actually worked, so a 6-hour day on a 9-hour shift is paid two-thirds of a day.

Is the allowance cut for absent days?

Not in Stafrix: a fixed monthly allowance is paid in full for any month the person was employed. Only the salary is paid by the day.
